Demi's POV.We stopped in front of my house and Joe stops the car."So me and Cody will pick you and Selena up at.. 6 ish?" Joe says and looks at me."Sure." I answer. "I'll see you later." I lean over and peck Joe's lips before opening the door and stepping out. I walk up the steps and I hear Joe's car drive away. I fish in my bag for my keys and pull them out, sticking it into the doors' lock and pulling the door open. I go into the kitchen and set my keys down on the counter."Hey Dems. Where've you been?" Dallas says and opens the refrigerator, taking out a bottle of water."Me and Joe went out for ice cream." "Oh. Okay." She turns around and goes back upstairs. I shrug and take a sip of my coke. Then, I go upstairs too. Madison was in her room, watching TV. I knock at her door and she looks up."Hey, Maddie. Mind if I hang here for a bit?" I smile at her.She looks at me excitedly and makes a space for me on her bed. I giggle and sit down next to her, crossing my legs. "Where were you?" She asks me, innocently, linking her arm loosely around mine. She offers me her plate of popcorn and I take a handful."I was out with Joe. We went out to get ice cream." I tell her."Oh.." she looks down at her hands. "Well, I miss you Demi.""You miss me? Why? We see each other every single day.""I know. But you're always with Joe. If not Joe, then Selena.." she mumbles. "Aw.. I didn't know.. ""How bout tonight we have a slumber party? Just me and you?! It'll be fun!" She jumps up, wildly, and full of excitement."That'll be--" I smile, then it fades. "Oh. I totally forgot, I'm going out with Sel, Joe and his friend tonight. Maybe some other time..?" Her smile fades, also. "Oh. Forget it already..""I'm sorry, Maddie.." I hug her but she doesn't move. "We'll have fun together some other time. I'll take you out shopping and we'll go get ice cream.""Promise?!" She squeals."Yep. I promise.""Okay." She sits there, smiling. Then, my phone rings. I read the caller ID and put the phone against my ear."Hey babe." I say, smiling. Madison covers her mouth with her pillow and laughs."Hey, have you talked to Sel yet?" Joe asks me."No. I was just going to do that.""Oh. Okay then. Talk to you later.""Bye." I was about to hang up."Wait, Demi!""What?"He smirks. "I love you, beautiful." I giggle. "I love you too, handsome."Madison giggles some more and I roll my eyes as I hung up."Why are you laughing?" I ask, leaning down to tickle her. She laughed, hard, trying to push me away."S-s-stop..D-demiii.." she says between breaths and laughs some more. I couldn't help but laugh. Her laugh was very contagious."Okay, okay." I stopped and pulled away, breathless. "I need to call Sel." I flipped open my phone once again and called Selena on speed dial. She picks up on the 4th ring."Hey Dems," she says."Hi. You doing anything tonight?"Nope.""Great. Come over in a few hours. We're gonna go bowling.""Okay. Sounds fun. I'll see you later.""Yep. Bye." We both hang up the phone and I look at Madison busy brushing her barbie doll's hair. I just feel bad that she has no one to keep her company..The dorrbell rings 30 minutes before 6 and I race to the door. I open it and Joe is there but not with Cody."Hi," he pulls me in for a hug."Hey. Where's Cody?" I ask."Oh, he's coming in a few minutes," he says. I take his hand and pull him in."Who else is coming?" Selena asks as she emerges from the kitchen. She looks at Joe and he smiles, innocentley."Hello to you, too, Gomez," he says and smirks."Whatever, Joe." I laugh."Selena, I forgot to tell you.. we made up with Cody," I tell her.Her eyes widened. "You what?! Why?!""He seems nice, Sel. Just give him a chance, okay?""Fine," she says, reluctantly."Thanks Sel. Cody is really a nice dude once you get to know him. Really." Joe pitches in. I smile."So instead of going bowling, they're throwing a fireworks show down at the beach. We should go watch." Selena says. "Fireworks?!" Madison runs in. "Can I come, Demsy?!" She screams, grabbing my arm."Yeah, we can go get something to eat then go sit on the sand and watch it." Selena says. She turns to me and Joe. "It'll be romantic.." "Aw, it does some romantic! Joe, can we?!" I say, smiling."But I wanted to go bowling," he whines. I laugh."We can go some other time.. promise.""Fine.""Yay!" I squeal. "Deeemi.." Madison tugs on my shirt. "I wanna come.." I frown."Aw, c'mon, Dems. Let her come.." Selena says.I sigh. "Fine. Go get changed."Madison thanks us and runs upstairs happily. Then, the doorbell rings."That's probably Cody. You girls ready?"
